The August 31, 2022 event was a success! We had wonderful comments about the evening and many of you asked us to do it again, which we are planning to do. We have lots of ideas for the networking and the fund raising activity next year. If you have any suggestions or comments, please let us know.

We are pleased to announce that we raised over $2,200 during the silent auction! We worked very hard on fundraising and learned a lot for next year hoping to raise even more. We would especially like to thank all those who offered a lot for the auction (in alphabetical order):

As planned, we sent 10% of the funds (225 $) to the Free International University of Ejeda (Madagascar), as well as 10% (225 $) to communities in Myanmar through a local contact.
The amount of $1200 USD was sent to the Niassa Lion Project in Mozambique.
We already have lots of ideas for next year and can't wait

Bénédicte has just returned from sales trips across Canada and we can say that colored stones are popular!
We have noticed that customers are looking for bigger and bigger stones. In recent years, the trend has been towards minimalism with sleek designs and since the beginning of the year we are asked for larger stones than before. Most requests for sapphires are in the 1.50 to 2.50 ct, but even larger for aquamarines, tourmalines, amethysts, topazes, etc.

Green and blue-green are still very popular, both for sapphires but we also have a lot of requests for emeralds and tourmalines.

The holiday season is fast approaching, do not hesitate to send us your requests. We can also send you stones on consignment according to your needs.
